ROUTE WITH FLYING CAT AND AERO HIGHSPEED
Flying cats and Aero HighSpeed depart daily from the port of Piraeus for Hydra, which only take passengers.
During the day there are several routes, depending on the time period.
The duration of the journey is approximately 1 hour and 55 minutes for the flying cats and approximately 1 hour and 35 minutes for the Aero HighSpeed.

HOW TO COME FROM ATHENS TO HYDRA WITH CAR
If you have your own car or have rented one, then you can easily get from Athens to Metochi, an area located opposite Hydra, in about 2 hours and 45 minutes.
Following the Attiki Road and then the Athens - Corinth National Road, immediately after the Isthmus, go right at exit 10 (Corinth - Epidaurus) and immediately after that turn left, under the bridge, on the road it leads to Loutra tis Orea Eleni and continues to Epidaurus.
Drive for about 45 minutes and reach the junction for Epidaurus. A little before you will see signs to Poros or Spetses. At the intersection go right and immediately after turn left, under the bridge.
Continue on this road, meeting the "Vassilopoulos" supermarket on your right.
A little further down you will come across signs to another intersection, which you go diagonally turn left at the sign pointing "towards Poros"and following the coastal road you will reach Galatas, which is opposite Poros, in about 35 minutes.
You cross Galatas and continue following the same coastal road. You pass through the areas of Plaka - Lemonodasos - Aliki and after about 35 minutes you are in Metochi.
The road is quite good and for the total route from Athens to Metochi, at an average speed, we need about 2 hours & 45'.
Metochi is the nearest area of the Peloponnese located opposite Hydra. In Metochi there is space and if you want guarded parking to leave your car and cross across to Hydra, with daily departures of the boats "FREEDOM Ι, II, III & IV" that lasts approximately 15 minutes.
Also from Metochi area area you can reach the historical and beautiful Hydra island
anytime you like also with a SEA TAXI.

After about 40 minutes and just before you reach Kranidi, at another intersection you come across a sign pointing to "to Ermioni", which you reach after a while.
The road is quite good and for the total route from Athens to Ermioni, at an average speed, we need about 2 hours & 30'.
From Ermioni you can cross to Hydra with one of the several itineraries run daily by the boats SPEED BOAT "CHRISTOS" & "ELENA STAR", in 30 minutes.
